The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

The Los Angeles Lakers unofficially could be the worst third-quarter team in the NBA!

Seriously. Just think back through all of the games this season and most of them have the Lakers losing halftime leads or getting blown out of the building with listless play and turnovers.

This game was no different.

The Minnesota Timberwolves basically disintegrated a five-point halftime lead with a 35-7 run to start the second half. They got outplayed, Patrick Beverley looked like Steph Curry for a stretch and the Lakers were beaten up in the paint. They had a scoring drought of over seven minutes.

At the end of this third quarter carnage? Minnesota Timberwolves 40 and the Los Angeles Lakers just watching with 12.

Okay everyone should get the point.

Kent Bazemore.

He hasn’t scored a bucket in two of the last three games. He hasn’t stopped anyone on defense. These observations leads to this point…Baze’s confidence is gone! He has scored 8 total points in 8 days.

Carmelo Anthony.

Mama said there’d be days like this. Melo came into this game shooting over 60 percent from the 3 point line in the Staples Center. He came crashing down to Earth shooting 1-8 from the 3 point line and 1-12 overall for 3 points.
