The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

Man, the Los Angeles Lakers really looked good during the winning streak…AGAINST BAD TEAMS MISSING KEY PLAYERS!

The staff of Lake Show Life has never been accused of being politically correct, but it does seem that certain things come to pass with our analysis…like this quote in the Minnesota Timberwolves post-game report.

"The Los Angeles Lakers have gotten away with this matchup scheme for one reason…the teams they have played for the most part are bad. Luckily, on offense, it works out great. LeBron goes nuts scoring and facilitating while THT, Malik Monk and yes, Russell Westbrook have room to operate in the paint."

Well, LeBron did his part…the three players listed?

  • Talen Horton-Tucker: Boy that early three fouls threw him off! 13 points (5-10 shooting!), 2 rebounds and one assist.
  • Malik Monk: 7 points (3-13 shooting!), 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks
  • Russell Westbrook: Whatever…he let go of the rope in this game and this post-game will do the same talking about him at this point…

"This will not work against NBA Finals contenders in the Western Conference like the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors. LeBron is not committed on the defensive end enough to beat these teams with a small lineup."

The Lakers play the Sacramento Kings next (Yes again!) later this week.
