The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ win:
Man…this dude LeBron James can play some basketball!
Yes, Lake Show Life had a side-eye to LeBron for three quarters during the Miami Heat game before he led a furious comeback, but he is going to get credit for this one.
If two Brooklyn Nets possessions can tell anyone the story about how the King dogged these guys, it would be this highlight right here!
LeBron James steamrolled the Brooklyn Nets for 33 points (14-21 shooting!), 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks and ZERO turnovers. The excitement from AD’s return to the lineup was evident and palpable. Whatever James Harden put on the board was nullified and then some with LeBron’s performance.
This might be the first game of the season where Lake Show Life actually noticed intimidation from a Los Angeles Lakers opponent. The Nets looked scared folks.
Russell Westbrook and Avery Bradley were unsung heroes!
Watching THT play in this game shows how mentally strong Russell Westbrook is during the last two weeks. It hasn’t been easy with all of the trade rumors attaching him to John Wall (Won’t happen!) and the constant criticism from all media outlets including Lake Show Life.
Throw out the five turnovers, Russ had a solid game with 15 points (7-14 shooting!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He picked his spots better and attacked the rim strongly when opportunities opened up. He just has to relax and patiently put things together game by game.
Avery Bradley played outstanding defense by making James Harden work. He ripped him twice in the first half and was not afraid to stick his nose in and be physical.
He finished with 9 points and 2 rebounds.
The Lakers play the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday with the opportunity to play Joel Embiid. By the way, he dropped 42 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Los Angeles Lakers had better be ready to hoop or this guy will hang 50 on them.
