4. Eric Gordon

Russell Westbrook played with Eric Gordon on the Houston Rockets and hopefully, the Los Angeles Lakers do not make this happen and they do not reunite in 2021.

Personally, I hate the idea of the Lakers trading for Eric Gordon and think it would just send the team backward. The Lakers would have to include THT in the package and would get someone who is old, is going backward in terms of his talent and would not give this team what it needs.

Sure, he can shoot the three and would add another scorer to the roster but is that really what the Lakers need? Another complete defensive liability who can shoot threes? How can anyone in their right mind tell me that you can play Gordon, an undersized two-guard, next to Russell Westbrook, Avery Bradley, Malik Monk or Wayne Ellington? It would be a defensive nightmare.

However, just because I am not a fan of the move does not mean that it isn’t possible. Gordon’s name has come up in the Lakers rumors mill and it is not like the front office has a super clean record. Remember, they traded for Russell Westbrook after all.

Some fans would be happy if they made this trade just because Gordon is a big name and he has a high shooting percentage. Trust me, this trade would not work out for the better and Gordon would continue to get worse as his contract carries on while THT would get better.
