2: Chris Boucher
Technically, forward Chris Boucher is a two-time NBA champion. He was with the Warriors in 2017-18 (although he only played in one game) and then won a title with the Raptors the following year.
Six-foot-nine Boucher is in his fifth year in the league and is averaging 9.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in the 49 games that he’s played in. He’s shooting 46% from the field.
The Lakers could use another rim protector and it would be a sight to see Boucher play alongside Davis.
Los Angeles signed Stanley Johnson for the remainder of the year and he’s found his way into the starting lineup. He deserved to sign a contract with the Lakers but Boucher can make more of an impact.
On Feb. 3 against the Bulls, Boucher played in 25 minutes and finished with 16 points (8-of-14) and 10 rebounds in Toronto’s 127-120 overtime win.
Boucher signed a two-year, $13.5 million contract with the Raptors ahead of the 2020-21 season. He’s making $7 million this year and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
To land Boucher, Los Angeles could offer Toronto Horton-Tucker as well as a second-round pick.
