2. Kent Bazemore

Rarely do I take victory laps here on Lake Show Life but I have to take my victory laps on Kent Bazemore. I was against the Bazemore signing when it happened in the offseason and rather would have seen the Lakers sign the guy the Warriors signed to replace Bazemore, Otto Porter.

There were some Bazemore believers here in the Lake Show Life comments section and I cannot blame them. The former Laker was coming off of a bounce-back year with the Warriors and seemed to be exactly the three-and-D wing that the Lakers needed.

Bazemore was gifted a big role in the rotation early on in the season as the Lakers dealt with injuries and it was a blessing in disguise as he quickly showed LA that he was not what the team was signing up for.

Bazemore is shooting just 35.4% from three this season and is shooting a woeful 32.8% from the field all while playing well-below-average defense. Someone who was meant to be an improvement from Wes Matthews actually ended up being worse.

Bazemore has not played more than 15 minutes in a game for two months and despite his “warning” to the league, he should be the second one to go.
