3. Tyreke Evans would be a really interesting fit on the Los Angeles Lakers

Tyreke Evans is a much more interesting proposition than the other players that the Los Angeles Lakers could sign on the buyout market. Evans obviously is not going to be at his best and probably will not be as good as when he last played in the NBA. However, it seems that he is still in good shape and even if he is 80% of who he was in 2019 then he is a much better alternative.

It is not like Evans is super old, either. He is only 32 years old with fresh legs. Sure, there might be some rust that needs to be knocked off but I doubt he is going to be out there laboring to keep up with the league.

Evans is a really interesting fit on the Lakers because of what he would bring to the team. Evans is a versatile role player that can fill a multitude of roles. He can be a traditional two-guard, he can operate the offense and facilitate or he could be a defensive-minded wing.

Evans is not a super prolific three-point shooter but his shot got better as his career went along and he can certainly hold his own. He can definitely facilitate the basketball and he was not an elite defender but he certainly held his own on the defensive end.

Simply put: Evans can be who the Los Angeles Lakers wanted Talen Horton-Tucker to be this season with more size; a versatile role player who essentially plays the one through three depending on the situation while playing on both ends of the court.

You are not going to get that kind of versatility with other buyout players. It is not a guarantee that it all pans out but just the potential alone is enticing.
