The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ win:

Anthony Davis’ future…

The outcome of this game did not matter. The fact that Anthony Davis didn’t just fall from this injury…he collapsed. The arena went quiet and everyone has the understanding that the injury is serious and the question wasn’t if he was going to return to the game, but when he will be able to play again.

The X-rays came up negative and the Lakers will be monitoring the injury through the All-Star break.

On a side note, it is really sad how some of these so-called Lakers fans are making jokes about AD’s injury on social media. This guy is going to be the franchise’s future when LeBron James retires and when Russell Westbrook leaves. The same fans that have these memes of AD in a wheelchair or covered in hospital gear will be the same ones whining and complaining when the man demands a trade to a team where fanbases appreciate him.

Russell Westbrook…

Lakers fans had better pray that this writer is right in this analysis…

Russell Westbrook is starting to figure this thing out!

What got lost in the Lakers’ loss to Golden State with the awful play of LeBron James and Anthony Davis was Westbrook was very efficient. He was even better in this game scoring 17 points (6-13 shooting!), 7 rebounds (4 offensive!) and 6 assists. He did all of the little things that got him famous in the first place. Finally, he hit two free throws to turn out the lights on Utah late.

Russ has started slowly the last two seasons in Houston and Washington before exploding after the All-Star break. The Lakers DESPERATELY need him to string multiple games like this together with an occasional explosion here and there with Anthony Davis out for presumably a long while.
