Los Angeles Lakers: Predicting every game after the All-Star Break
By Jason Reed
Los Angeles Lakers games 55-60:
Mar 9 at Houston Rockets: Win
Consider this a revenge game for Russell Westbrook after the trade rumors for John Wall. Once again, Houston traded its valuable pieces away and the Lakers need to start winning games against teams like the Rockets who actively want to lose at this point in the season.
Mar 11 vs Washington Wizards: Win
Bradley Beal will not play in this game and the Lakers should be able to take care of Kristaps Porzingis and some old friends. Montrezl Harrell is no longer on the team (he is in Charlotte now) and he was arguably the team’s best role player. LeBron wants to prove that he was on the right side of history on the Westbrook trade, even if he wasn’t.
Mar 13 at Phoenix Suns: Loss
It does not matter that Chris Paul is not playing this game, the Lakers are not beating the best team in the league. Maybe I am wrong but I would be foolish to predict a Lakers win as it would be a big upset.
Mar 14 vs Toronto Raptors: Loss
A back-to-back in which the Lakers are playing three games in four days? Yeah right. This part of the season is tough as the Lakers really only have one day between each of the games thus far and this team is too old for that.
Mar 16 at Minnesota Timberwolves: Loss
The Timberwolves have been playing quite well this season and they are going to go after the Lakers. Patrick Beverley always brings it 120% against LeBron James and the T-Wolves get the nod in a close, competitive game.
Mar 18 at Toronto Raptors: Win
LeBron has always played well north of the border and the Lakers get their revenge on the team that beat them four days prior by beating the Raptors on their home court.
