LeBron James outplayed by Jalen Green in Lakers loss to Rockets
By Ronald Agers
The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:
This team can’t stop light from the Con Edison electric company even if they didn’t pay the monthly bill!
The Houston Rockets turn the ball over more than any NBA team, they are the worst free-throw shooting team and had lost 13 of their last 14 games. Then they ran 139 points on the Lakers. The small-ball lineup does not work on a consistent basis because LeBron James does not play defense. If he can’t execute on regular wings, what makes anyone think he’s going to bang with centers? If Pat Riley and the Miami Heat can’t get him to play power forward at the peak of his powers, did anyone really think the Lakers could do it?
The Houston Rockets shot 50/40/90 on the Lakers meaning they shot over 50 percent from the floor, over 40 percent from the 3 point line and over 90 percent from the free-throw line.
What if someone told you that a rookie center named Alperen Sengun was giving the Lakers the business!
The Lake Show lost to San Antonio on Monday night due to awful defense that allowed Jakob Poeltl to dominate in the middle and score in the paint. Well, he’s a veteran center so even though it’s irritating, maybe it can be justified.
How about a center that 95 percent of casual fans have never heard of?

Alperen Sengun was killing the Lakers (Most notably the Lakers starting center, LeBron James!) in the post. Rockets announcer, Ryan Hollins stated that the Lakers couldn’t stop him numerous times during the game. Outside of a couple of bailout 3 point attempts and sloppy Houston guard play, he was right.
Sengun finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists with 2 steals and 2 blocks.
In other news, Dwight Howard’s DNP-CD tour against his former teams is still in effect.
Speaking of rookies, the Lakers couldn’t stop. Nope, it’s not Jalen Green, we’ll get to him in a minute!
Anyone ever heard of Josh Christopher? Here’s the daily Lakers opponent spotlight.
The Los Angeles Lakers have probably shined the light on unknown NBA players than YouTube and Twitter combined, guest star in this game? Josh Christopher.
Christopher lit up the Lakers from beyond the arc early knocking down three shots and continued his scoring to the tune of 21 points, 6 rebounds.
If you are a LeBron James fan, now is the time to stop reading. Boy, he wants to pass Karl Malone for that second spot badly doesn’t he?
