2. Lou Williams

Rob Pelinka seemingly made it a point to bring in former Lakers in free agency last summer and he could look to do the same this upcoming summer. Lou Williams ultimately was not an option last summer but after his 2021-22 season he is definitely going to get the veteran minimum from whatever team signs him.

Williams is making $5 million this season and has seen his production go down in the Hawks’ rotation. The former Sixth Man of the Year is averaging under 10 points per game for the first time in 15 years as he is playing just 14.5 minutes per game.

Williams would be more of the same on the Lakers as he would be another example of a role player who can score but cannot defend much. However, the Lakers really lack someone who can create their own shot off the bench and Williams would help that.

He obviously is not the same player that he was five years ago but Williams can still create for himself in spurts while also being someone who can turn into a really good off-ball three-point shooter with LeBron James facilitating.
