The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

Oh this is it…

It was nearly nauseating listening to every Lakers basketball broadcast celebrate a player whose team was getting blown out by a hundred points but here we are. Look for a cute phrase for his triple-double 10,000 plus stat line.

At this point, the rest of the season is about LeBron James, the scoring title and the record book. Winning has taken a backseat to being 37 and his lifetime achievements which is sad to the old heads who believe that the win column and competing matters. Maybe the staff should monitor the scoring race between LeBron, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid.

Giannis didn’t play, but Joel had 35 points and 16 rebounds in a win. LeBron holds on the scoring lead. Yay?

Reminder: The Phoenix Suns blew out the Los Angeles Lakers 140-111.

The Lakers lose to (Oops, I mean play!) the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Lake Show Life coverage will show up, but will the Los Angeles Lakers’ competitive spirit?
