Los Angeles Lakers got blown out (like again) by the Toronto Raptors
By Ronald Agers
The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:
Frank Vogel thought it was a good idea to use the small ball lineup against taller wing players with long arms!
It’s getting to the point that Frank Vogel is trying to get himself fired early or he is using analytics without any concept or knowledge of how to implement it to the NBA game. It bears repeating but the staff of Lake Show Life wants to know about a computer system that anyone knows of that can come up with a scheme of starting LeBron James at center against a team with taller forwards with huge wingspans.
Basketball is a very simple sport. TEAMS HAVE to have tall players to rim protect. Guards can’t defend big skilled forwards. Look at the video. Better yet pass it on to Frank Vogel.

Malik Monk, God bless him is 6’3 200 pounds if that. Scottie Barnes is 6’7 225 with long arms. There is no way Malik can defend his hook shot. Folks, he really tried and it did not matter. This happened for the majority of the first half when he dropped 19 points on 8-11 shooting.
He finished with 21 points, 9 rebounds (4 offensive!), 5 assists with 2 blocks!
- Pascal Siakam finished with 27 points. 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
- Chris Boucher finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds.
This will not change against the Timberwolves on Wednesday because Austin Reaves and Malik Monk can’t grow in two days!
But on another note, the staff of Lake Show Life wants to send well wishes to Dwight Howard who left for a family emergency.
Defense…rebounding…turnovers…shooting…leadership…lack of a game plan…do we need to go on?
The Lakers are 10 games under .500. But LeBron James scored 30…
