The bad from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:
Russell Westbrook:
Let Patrick Beverley say it…
But to the new readers that are desperately looking for answers for this collapse, the staff of Lake Show Life recommends some important reading so you can cope!
Bottom line Lakers fans…the Los Angeles Lakers just can’t shoot!
This is not like the previous games where the Lakers just laid down and did not try. In this game, they really gave the required effort for analysis. The Lakers just can’t shoot. Seriously. D.J. Augustin shot very well in the game and got to see the bench for his efforts. Austin Reaves shot 3-4 from the field and spent a huge part of the game on the bench. With a combination of bad shooting by the regulars with limited chances from the guys that shot well…THIS TEAM CAN’T WIN!
But in actuality, the Lakers shot poorly from all areas of the basketball court.
- They shot 42 percent from the field (Folks they improved greatly to get to this number!).
- They shot 22 percent from the 3 point line.
- They shot 69 percent from the free-throw line.
What gets this team in trouble is the fact that they got dominated on the boards and they just couldn’t stay with the Timberwolves on defense. By the time the deficit was cut to four points, Karl Anthony-Towns came back in the game and put the game away.
The NBA teams know the Lakers have let go of the rope!
The staff of Lake Show Life is the first Lakers media outlet to claim that this team has quit. Nothing’s changed but the rest of the Lakers’ opponents. It’s clear that the Lakers do not have enough shooters and don’t have a coach to put together a combination of players to execute for 48 minutes. Just give the ball to LeBron and get out of the way. This post-game report is sympathetic because he played good defense in this game.
No time like the present, turn the page and let’s talk about him.
