The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

If the Los Angeles Lakers lose on Friday night, these posts will be a waste of time!

Lake Show Life has already started packing for Cancun, because we realize that LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the lineup means little to nothing as far as this season is concerned.

After the Pelicans matchup, the Lake Show will play Denver twice (Two losses!), Golden State (Loss), Phoenix (Moving on!), and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder will make sure that no one of consequence will play. That’s the only guaranteed win out of that list. The rest of the teams are battling for seeding position which means, they will not rest players.

In other words, let this writer and long-time reader sing an old song by Dandy Don Meredith from the Monday Night Football era in the 1970s.

Corky Carroll: “Turn out the lights, the party’s over.”

Ronald Agers: “The lights are OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT! The party’s over!”

The vultures are starting to circle around LeBron James and the damage he does to franchises when he “leaves”.

Since the Lakers have to extend LeBron James in the offseason, the narratives about leaving will commence. If you are a LeBron fan, start shopping for a new jersey because history shows he might be leaving soon. Like no one saw the smoke signals during the All-Star break.

Brian Windhorst, had some interesting commentary while on ESPN’s “Get Up” about how the four-time MVP seems to end his stints with each team he plays for.

"“LeBron’s career operates in four-year increments. He wears his team out. I call it organizational fatigue,” Windhorst said. “It happened the first time in Cleveland. They ran out of draft picks, they had a bunch of guys in their mid-30s. Shaq close to the finish line, Antawn Jamison. “He goes to Miami, four years, great run, they run out of draft picks. In his last game, three guys retired after the game. He goes to Cleveland, four years, great run. They run out of draft picks. They got old guys. Here we are in L.A., fourth year. The oldest team we’ve seen in NBA history, they’re out of draft picks, they’re exhausted.”"

Not nearly as much as the Lake Show Life staff. Would you drop a $50 million a year contract on LeBron James?
