Chance of Anthony Davis leaving the Lakers: 25%

There is an actual nuanced conversation that should be had about Anthony Davis. While at his best Davis is one of the most talented players in the entire league, he has not been at his best over the last two years and has not been able to stay healthy.

The best ability is availability and it does not matter how talented Davis is as a player, if he is only playing 40 games a year and is always at risk of getting hurt then the Lakers will never be successful.

While Davis is a Klutch Sports client, it would not be totally shocking if the Lakers dealt him this summer. It is obviously more likely that he will be a Laker next season but if the Lakers can get a team to overpay for Davis while his value is still high then they should jump on it.

An example of a potential trade would be a swap for Karl-Anthony Towns. Minnesota may not even entertain this offer, but they could also talk themselves into the ceiling of AD while the Lakers would get a younger big that fits better next to LeBron as a floor-spacing big.

And of course, Klutch would spin it to AD as it being a good thing. He would get his team to be the face of and put up monster numbers when in reality, he would probably just get hurt.
