1. Kent Bazemore

The Kent Bazemore experience did not go as planned for the Lakers this season. While nobody expected Bazemore to be an elite role player for the Lakers this season, there definitely were higher expectations attached to Bazemore when the Lakers signed him in the offseason.

Heck, we know that first-hand here at Lake Show Life. Bazemore was one of the players that I forecasted to disappoint this season and there were some Bazemore supporters who disagreed with my sentiment in the comments section. I wasn’t right about much this season with the Lakers, Bazemore’s decline is the exception.

Bazemore was coming off of a resurgence season with the Golden State Warriors, which tends to happen with role players. Golden State has a great system and is overall a great place to play. Time and time again role players go to the Warriors, play at a higher level, and then fail to repeat that level of production on their next team. Bazemore is yet another example.

With how bad Bazemore played this season it would not be totally shocking if he was not in the NBA this season. His stock was not very high after his solid stint with the Warriors and after such a bad year with the Lakers, his stock is at an all-time low.

The Lakers are in need of depth next season and Bazemore is definitely someone who is not on the Lakers’ list.
