2. Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are one of the most well-run organizations in the league, which is why all of the Nick Nurse Lakers rumors are absolutely ridiculous. Sure, he is a Klutch Sports guy, but why would he want to leave the Raptors for the circus show that is the Lakers. Plus, he is under contract still! The Lakers would have to trade picks for him!

Instead of the Lakers stealing Nurse from the Raptors, it is far more likely that the Raptors would steal Monk from the Lakers. With plenty of space under the luxury tax, the Raptors easily have enough money to not only give Monk the MLE, but potentially offer him more if his market value is higher than that.

Toronto had a quick turnaround into being a quality playoff team and is really young. There is something special brewing in Toronto, who are going to continue to look to add young, quality pieces.

The one area where the Raptors lacked was three-point shooting as the team ranked 21st in the league at 34.9%. That is not an awful number and getting an impact bench shooter like Monk could be enough to swing the difference.

Monk could usurp Amini Brooks’ spot in the rotation and would be a more impactful player than Brooks has been for the team this season.
