The Los Angeles Lakers are going to look to revamp the roster this offseason and one of the aspects that the team is absolutely going to target is three-point shooting. Having three-point shooting is extremely important in today’s game and is even more important when a team is built around LeBron James.

The Lakers leaned into this last offseason and the team did bring in some solid shooters. However, there was not enough balance on the team as the Lakers didn’t have any great defensive players to balance the shooters on the roster that did not play great defense.

The likes of Malik Monk, Carmelo Anthony and Wayne Ellington all shot the ball well. None of those players are guaranteed to be on the roster next season, though. Monk is likely going to get offers for more than the Lakers can offer and could leave the team, Carmelo could very well retire if he thinks his time in the league is up and Ellington did not play much of a role last season and doesn’t seem likely to be retained.

Thus, the Los Angeles Lakers may need to turn to free agency to add new shooters to the roster.

Because of the massive Russell Westbrook contract, the Lakers are limited in the players that they can bring in this offseason. We have already touched on some boom or bust free agents that the Lakers could sign (one of which is a great shooter) but those are not guaranteed.

Instead, this article is meant to focus on the free agents that will almost undoubtedly be signed for the veteran minimum this offseason. Not only is it focusing on players the Lakers can sign, but these are the best of the best when it comes to minimum guys… shooting-wise.
