The Los Angeles Lakers have quite the challenge this offseason. After one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history, the front office is tasked with rebuilding the team to create a contender for the 2023 NBA Championship.

It would be much easier if the front office could blow the team up, stockpile assets and start a new era in Los Angeles. But this is the Lakers we are talking about; rebuilds are few and far between. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the roster, the Lakers have no choice but to try and go for it all next season.

Russell Westbrook is still on the roster, and more importantly, still on the payroll, so the Lakers will be limited in what they can do this offseason. Los Angeles has to find value in the minimum market similar to how they found value in Malik Monk last offseason.

In short, the Los Angeles Lakers need to find sleeper free agents.

The only way the Los Angeles Lakers will have a chance of contending for a title next season is if they can capitalize and hit the jackpot on sleeper free agents this offseason. These sleeper free agents will sign for cheap, and hopefully, will outperform their deal.

Finding these players is no easy task but that did not stop Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report from outlining who he thinks could be a sleeper target for the Lakers this offseason. Not every sleeper free agent that Buckley outlined might make sense for the Lakers, though.

Using the three free agents that Buckley outlined, it is time for us here at Lake Show Life to play our favorite game: pass or pursue.
