Jason Terry breaks down what Darvin Ham brings to the Los Angeles Lakers and the effect he brings…

Lake Show Life’s take:

After this past season ended in disaster, the Los Angeles Lakers to show their fanbase through  their head coaching search that they were not a franchise soundbite and were serious about correcting the mistakes from the last couple of seasons. Darvin Ham was selected for these reasons…

  • He was a candidate that could command the locker room immediately.
  • He must have a master plan on how to utilize Russell Westbrook with LeBron James and Anthony Davis (Jason goes into that later!).
  • He had ties to the purple and gold. His NBA coaching career started with the Lakers back in 2011, something he discussed during his press conference.

"“Knowing this is the team and the franchise that gave me my start — albeit it was Mike Brown that hired me, the Buss family had to sign off on it — and the fact that I got my start as a coach here, this place will always be special to me. Always was special to me, always paid attention to what was going on with the Lakers even in my other travels through Atlanta and Milwaukee. It’s like a homecoming for me, in all seriousness.”"

Lake Show Life was very critical at times throughout the Frank Vogel era with the control of the locker room, adjustments and overall direction as head coach. It’s hard to find fault in Darvin Ham if he’s even going in the right direction with his promise to Lakers Nation…

Now Boston is in the NBA Finals and the Lakers are now hoping Ham can do the same with his stars.

Well there’s no time like the present to talk about accountability because that starts at the top of the roster with the superstars. Lake Show Life asked Jason to put himself in Darvin’s shoes and talk about how he would utilize LeBron James in his 20th year.
