How would you utilize Anthony Davis and how does the addition of Rasheed Wallace help?

Lake Show Life’s take: (Can we take the health out please? Common sense states AD has to healthy!)

Fun fact: Rasheed Wallace scored 19 points in that one game with Jason Terry in Atlanta.

When Frank Vogel was hired by the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most underrated signings to the staff was Lionel Hollins. While Jason Kidd and Phil Handy respectively and deservedly got the headlines, Hollins provided the attention to detail and toughness that helped Los Angeles win in the bubble.

Rasheed Wallace will provide the same important ingredient to the coaching staff and help resurrect Anthony Davis’ reputation as a superstar.

Sheed was unstoppable in the post when he played and he will only add to the skillset AD has now. If there was a big man coach that help eliminate the “soft” label AD has with his lack of health, it’s Rasheed Wallace.

When Davis was on the floor, his struggles wasn’t from the 3 point line (it was bad, but that was never his game…Vogel kept telling him to shoot them!), it was his midrange game that doomed him.

Rasheed will work with AD’s post moves that will destroy most NBA teams’ interior defenses. This is a flat guarantee if LeBron figures out no one can stop him in the post either. This dynamic opens up more room for the potential shooters the team picks up. Those extra seconds do count.

If AD listens to Sheed, the Lakers will make the playoffs guaranteed, because no one in the NBA will be able to stop him other than Giannis Antetokounmpo. The rest of the players already are in foul trouble as of this writing.

If not…Anthony Davis’ legacy will be written as a supremely talented player missing that championship pedigree.

Now we get to Russell Westbrook. This is probably the most insightful analysis of Westbrook to date. Jason Terry talks about what Russ accomplished and why he was criticized so hard. Read on to get “The Jet”s take on Westbrook.
