3. Bruce Brown
It is important to note off the top here that in all likelihood Bruce Brown is going to be out of the Lakers’ very limited price range. Brown is coming off of a great season and an impressive playoff run for the Nets. Brown averaged 14.0-points per game in the playoffs for Brooklyn and in short, windows was their best scoring option on the court. Combine his ability to score with ferocious defense and Brown should receive a great contract for a role player this offseason.
The one chance the Lakers have is if Brown is interested in playing for a ring and wants to team up with LeBron James. We have watched players take discount deals to play with James with the Cavs, Lakers, and Heat. Would Brown be willing to take a bit less to have a chance to play with LeBron?
That is a question the Lakers should be finding the answer to quickly this offseason. Bruce Brown should be near the top of their list of targets to rebuild the Laker bench. His energy and defense are exactly what this team was missing last season and help to set the tone anytime he was on the court.
