5. Dennis Schröder

Dennis went from being offered a huge contract with the Lakers to struggling to find a role in this league. When he was a Laker he was pivotal to the team’s success consistently playing tough defense and being the scoring threat when the Lakers needed to rest LeBron and Anthony Davis.

Dennis returning back to the last place he had a lot of success would make sense for both sides and offer him a chance to earn another contract next off-season.

While Dennis is undersized he has developed into a solid defender and has worked to improve his outside shot. What makes Dennis great, however, is his ability to cut to the basket and score. This ability has to be respected and would give the Lakers a much-needed scoring option off the bench.

Bringing Dennis in as the 6th man and surrounding him with defenders would give the Lakers a chance to hold serve when LeBron goes to the bench. Dennis averaged 15.4-points for the Lakers and hasn’t shown any regression in the two seasons since.

He simply needs the right opportunity and role to find success again why can’t he find this same success with the Lakers?
