7. Kyle Anderson
Watching Kyle Anderson play basketball is memorable both for the speed he moves at on offense as well as some of the head-scratching decisions he makes. Despite what are at times poor decisions there is no denying Anderson is a great bench player who plays lockdown defense and can guard a number of positions.
The Grizzlies will likely be willing to overpay to keep Anderson limiting the Lakers’ chase of the forward. However, Anderson should be on the list of players much like Gary Payton II the Lakers do their due diligence on.
Kyle averaged 7.6-points per game for Memphis and was a key member of the deep roster that pushed the team into the playoffs. Often without their best player, Memphis always found a way to win and Kyle deserves some credit for that. While he may not have played a huge role he was a key contributor and would be a great pickup for the Lakers.
The one downside to adding Anderson is the fact he isn’t a terribly efficient shooter from the outside. The Lakers would need to add reliable three-point shooters to their bench if they were to add Anderson. He brings great defensive energy but that is where the majority of his value lies.
