1. Dennis Schröder

Los Angeles has to balance improving their defense while also finding a way to add consistent scoring off the bench.  Dennis is a mix of both as a player who has turned into a solid on-ball defender at the point guard position and brings an elite ability to get to the basket.

Since leaving Atlanta Dennis has only found one landing spot where he worked and the team was willing to pay to bring him back. Many fans forget just how good Dennis was for the Lakers during his time with the team during the 2020 season. He averaged over 15 points and proved himself capable of running the offense when LeBron needed to go to the bench.

Coming off of disappointing seasons with the Celtics and Rockets would Dennis sign at a discount to return to the Lakers? It is a question the team should certainly find out considering their lack of depth at the point guard position. The Lakers need a point guard capable of scoring consistently and Dennis certainly fits that description.

There are concerns about his ability to fit into a team’s locker room. However, a locker room capable of surviving the star power of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook shouldn’t be upset with the addition of Dennis.
