5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (6)
Los Angeles has had so many great players wear their uniforms but none can compare to the legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Abdul-Jabbar played 20 seasons with Los Angeles. He was drafted in 1969 as the No.1 pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. He played with the Bucks from 1969-75 and won a championship with the team during the 1970-71 season.
He was traded to the Lakers in 1975 and even though he had already made a name for himself in Milwaukee, Los Angeles is where he became a legend.
During his first season, Abdul-Jabbar immediately transformed the Lakers into a winning team. They had finished the 1974-75 season in last place, with a record of 30-52. Abdul-Jabbar averaged 27.7 points, 16.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in his first season in LA and earned his third MVP award.
Abdul-Jabbar would win five rings, receive 14 All-star selections, pick up a scoring title, and be selected to the ALL-NBA First-Team six times with the Lakers, by dominating in every aspect of the game.
