3. Avery Bradley
Avery Bradley was frustrating to watch at times last season. While his overall numbers seemed fine, he should not have gotten as big of a role as he did in the Lakers’ rotation. Frank Vogel loved Bradley and overplayed him, showcasing his weaknesses.
Bradley was fine on the defensive end but he does not do enough offensively to warrant big-time minutes. Granted, he was not helped by the fact that he had to play alongside Russell Westbrook, but Bradley has entered a stage in his career where he should have a lesser role off the bench.
That being said, he still has value to a contending team in being a two-way bench guy that can come in and play decent perimeter defense and potentially knock down a few off-ball threes. Bradley is by no means an elite defensive player but he can certainly hold his own on the perimeter, especially against guards.
There will be a smart team that brings Bradley in and utilizes him to the best of his ability. The Lakers were not able to do that but there are better front office’s and coaching staffs that could absolutely maximize him as a pro next season.
