3. The gaping hole in the Lakers’ wing rotation

The Lakers have four different point guards who would typically start on most teams, two All-NBA caliber big men, and a lot of underwhelming bench players.

There is no player on the team who would get their best minutes at the three that makes sense to start at the moment.

Of course, they could move LeBron James to small forward, but that requires starting Damion Jones, a player who was the third-string center on the Sacramento Kings last season.

They could also go small, but that may hold back their perimeter defense, something that would put more responsibility on Anthony Davis who is injury prone as is.

There are numerous ways the Los Angeles Lakers can fix their roster, all of which can be announced during NBA Media Day.

First, they can resign Carmelo Anthony or another forward who can be a three-and-D player to take the starting spot. Jeremy Lamb or Kent Bazemore may be good options here.

Second, they could trade for a player like Bojan Bogdanovic or Buddy Hield, both of which are rumored to be part of a proposed trade featuring Russell Westbrook.

Third, they could trust Damion Jones or a smaller player like Lonnie Walker IV to step up and take the starting spot.

They just need to make their decision and make it clear what direction they are going.

The Los Angeles Lakers are definitely the team to watch on Media Day with all of their offseason moves, these are just the main three things that we all want to see from them to feel confident that they can win.
