2. LeBron James would continue to prove that he can carry anyone to the Finals

How many titles did Jordan win before he found the perfect Robin to his Batman in Scottie Pippen? Contrary to what many might tell you Jordan didn’t play only six seasons in his career there were more than Jordan’s six title seasons and any that didn’t feature Pippen ended with Jordan getting bounced from the playoffs or failing to make them.

LeBron winning with Westbrook in the twilight of his career furthers what has already been well established, he is capable of winning a title with any team. Whether it is Wade, Kyrie Irving, or Anthony Davis James has proven he is the championship system that works.

It doesn’t matter what team he joins or who his second-best player is if LeBron is on your roster you feel you have a chance to make a run.  LeBron winning a title with Westbrook proves so many pundits wrong and would be too large of an accomplishment to ignore in the GOAT debate.

It also gives LeBron more impressive Finals wins while having a chance to catch Jordan at six rings leaving the discussion decidedly one-sided when debates cannot simply default to ring counting.
