3. Damion Lee

The Golden State Warriors have had a trend of signing players that the Lakers should have signed. There are so many quality role players that go to Golden State knowing that the team has a great infrastructure that will raise their value and allow them to contend for a championship.

If the Lakers can turn around and sign someone coming away from that infrastructure then they absolutely should. That is especially true with a roster that severely lacked three-point shooting. He may not be a big name, but Damion Lee would have made a lot of sense for this team.

Career-wise, Lee’s shooting numbers are not all that impressive. He is a career 35.9% three-point shooter while averaging 3.5 attempts in his 220 games. As sad as it is, that would still make him one of the most qualified shooters on this roster.

While Lee’s overall numbers were not great, he showed in stretches that he can be a solid shooter off the bench. Lee has two separate seasons in his career in which he shot over 39% from beyond the arc.

And what do you know? Lee has showcased that shooting ability this season with the Phoenix Suns. The sample size might be small but it doesn’t change the fact that Lee’s 46.2% three-point rate would be huge for this Lakers team.
