2. Juancho Hernangomez

Juancho Hernangomez became a notable name to watch in free agency this summer and not because of anything he did on the court in real life. Instead, Hernangomez co-starring in Adam Sandler’s ‘Hustle’ as Bo Cruz brought some intrigue around his name for NBA fans.

No NBA team thought that they were going to get anything close to the fictional Bo Cruz, that goes without saying. However, there certainly were fans calling for the Lakers to sign Hernangomez, especially considering the construction of the roster.

This Lakers team lacks wings and Hernangomez would have helped add depth in that department as someone who could play either the three or the four in short bursts off the bench. On paper, the team would have gotten a decent shooting option with size that could also defend.

Hernangomez has not been that for the Toronto Raptors this season, despite being a legitimate part of the rotation because of injuries. The former lottery pick is averaging over 12 minutes per game and is not doing much with those minutes.

Hernangomez is averaging just 2.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He is shooting 42.9% from the field and only 33.3% from three.
