The 3 most likely minimum contracts the Lakers will include in a trade

2. Juan Toscano-Anderson

The Los Angeles Lakers went out and did LeBron James a favor to start the free agency period in 2022. While some of the signings have worked out (like Troy Brown Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV), Los Angeles kickstarted free agency by bringing in an assortment of Klutch Sports clients. Juan Toscano-Anderson is one of those clients.

Ironically, JTA looked like he might have been the best of those early signings. Toscano-Anderson was coming from a team that just won the NBA Championship and is arguably the best-run team in the entire league. If he could bring some of that culture to LA it would have been great.

Plus, his skill set (on paper) was perfect for this team. At his best, Toscano-Anderson could have provided an above-average three-point shooting option that also plays above-average defense. For a team that so desperately lacked wings, it appeared that Toscano-Anderson would fill a huge void.

That has not been the case this season. Toscano-Anderson really struggled to start the season and with the Lakers now at full strength, he really is not even part of the rotation. Toscano-Anderson is reserved to garbage time minutes (if he even gets any) and that is really about it.

That makes him a no-brainer to include in a trade as he has no real role on this team anyway. He is as inconsequential as it gets for the Lakers to trade. That being said, there is one more player that Rob Pelinka would definitely rather trade before JTA.
