4. Make a statement to start the 2023-24 season

The start of the current Lakers season could not have been scripted much worse. Russell Westbrook clashed with Darvin Ham regarding his status as a starter, which came after explaining to the press that he was willing to do whatever was needed in order to help the team win.

The team could not hit a 3 to save a life. Ham’s experiments with micro-lineups failed miserably. All things considered, it was just an extremely sad start to the season. Looking ahead to the start of next season, it will be vital that the squad comes out with a genuine championship zest.

From the opening tip on opening night of 2023, regardless of who takes the court with LeBron and AD, this team needs to go out and prove that there is no more nonsense.

They not only owe it to themselves and the organization, but most importantly they owe it to the most loyal fanbase in the world that STILL supports them throughout thick and thin. When the whistle blows next season, Lakers fans across the globe should know instantly that this team is starving for hardware, nothing more and nothing less.
