2. Alex Caruso

It might seem too good to be true but there is a world in which Alex Caruso is traded from the Chicago Bulls and if that happens, the Los Angeles Lakers naturally have to be one of the teams in the running.

The next few weeks will determine a lot of things for the Chicago Bulls. Chicago is right in between of trying to make a run this season and blowing it up and trying to get their first-round pick, which is top-four protected to the Orlando Magic.

If the losses string together over the next couple of weeks we could see the Bulls make several trades to not only get draft capital for the assets they have but to also weaken the roster in order to get a top-four pick.

If that happens, Caruso naturally becomes a potential candidate to be traded and there is a package the Lakers could put together to get him back in LA. LeBron would definitely be happy if Caruso returned, even if the Lakers are guard heavy.

LeBron and Caruso were the best two-man lineup in the entire sport in terms of net rating in the team’s 2019-2020 championship season. Not LeBron and Anthony Davis. LeBron and Alex Caruso. The next season, they ranked 13th in the entire league.

This partnership obviously works and the Lakers would benefit immensely from Caruso’s perimeter defense.
