Malik Beasley gets an F in his Los Angeles Lakers debut
Malik Beasley was so bad for the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night that we still do not have a photo of him in a Lakers uniform in our database to include in this article. All joking aside, it was a rough debut for the guy who was meant to be the best shooter coming to the Lakers in this trade.
Beasley definitely had his chances from beyond the arc, taking both good looks and bad looks from three. In fact, the two-guard took the most thres of anyone on the entire team, chucking up six attempts in the 16 minutes he played off the bench.
Beasley did not make a single one of his six three-point attempts and finished with four points, one steal and two rebounds. Not only did he struggle to shoot the basketball but he also turned the ball over three times, which could have burnt the Lakers.
Of course, this kind of performance had to get the meme treatment from NBA Twitter.

Fans should not worry that much about Beasley’s poor game as it is just one game. Los Angeles as a whole did not shoot that well from three and they are going to get far better looks when LeBron James is playing and is getting his teammates better looks because of his gravitational pull.
It would be nice to see Beasley turn it around sooner rather than later as the Lakers have to decide on his future with the team with only a small sample size to go off of. Beasley has a $16.5 million club option for next season and will need to play better for that to get picked up.
