The Los Angeles Lakers have a chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, and they may not have to face Ja Morant to do so.

Morant, who injured his hand in Game 1, is up in the air for Game 2 despite not dealing with any fractures in his hand or wrist.

The Lakers went on a massive closing run in Game 1, and they have the size advantage on the Grizzlies with Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke out for the playoffs.

After Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura went off in Game 1, can Los Angeles’ role players continue to play at a high level on the road?

Here’s a look at the latest odds and my best bet for Game 2:

Lakers vs. Grizzlies prediction and pick

Oddsmakers have the Lakers favored in this game, which tells me that Morant is on the wrong side of questionable for this game.

After winning Game 1, the Lakers are looking like serious contenders, especially since they didn’t need an other-worldly performance from LeBron James or Anthony Davis to get the win.

The Grizzlies have struggled a bit without Morant this season, going just 11-10 straight up in the 21 games that he missed.

In a playoff scenario, I question the Grizzlies’ shot creation if Morant sits, especially with how well the Lakers played on defense in Game 1.

Back Los Angeles to go up 2-0 and keep the sweep on the table.
