3. Brook Lopez
If the Lakers really wanted to make a splash this offseason then they would go out and try to bring back Brook Lopez. Lopez should have never been allowed to leave the Lakers as he was solid in his one season with the team and continued to prove his value to the league long after leaving LA.
Lopez didn’t seem to have the best time in Los Angeles so it might seem unlikely for him to return to the team. Plus, Lopez is in a really good situation with Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Milwaukee Bucks which can be hard to walk away from.
That being said, the Bucks did fire Mike Budenholzer shortly after they were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs in the first round. That could prompt some roster turnover, which at least opens the door for Lopez to leave for another team.
Adding Lopez to this rotation would be incredible for the Lake Show. Lopez showed out on the defensive end this past season, finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting behind Jaren Jackson Jr. He and Giannis make up a dynamic defensive duo and the same would happen with AD.
Plus, Lopez has the ability to space the floor and would be a positive impact on the offensive end because of that. A lineup with Lopez, Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt is an extremely fun scenario to imagine.
