2. Donte DiVincenzo

Donte DiVincenzo is someone who Lakers fans are very familiar with after the NBA Playoffs. The Lakers squared off against DiVincenzo and the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the NBA Playoffs and was a topic of discussion during the season.

DiVincenzo did what several role players did before him on the Warriors last season. He signed a prove-it deal with the Warriors to increase his free-agent value. He did not increase it to an absurd amount that the Lakers cannot afford, but he did increase it higher than what his player option for next season would pay him.

DiVincenzo was drafted to the Bucks while Ham was on the staff and he was a key role player on the 2021 championship team. He proved in that season (and this past season with the Warriors) that he is a legitimate rotation player on a contending team.

Donte DiVincenzo is exactly the kind of depth piece the Lakers need

DiVincenzo wouldn’t completely change the course of the Lakers’ season but he could be someone to provide valuable depth in the regular season. He also could be a role player that single-handedly swings a playoff game, which we saw happen for the Lakers several times in the playoffs.

DiVincenzo is an above-average three-point shooter who provides valuable perimeter defense. That is exactly what this team (and any contending team) needs.
