Chris Paul, Phoenix Suns

CP3 just has not been able to get over the hump throughout his entire career, and James has found it difficult to get his fifth championship ring over the last few years. Prior to this season, Father Time had struggled to keep pace with these two icons.

Throughout the 2022-2023 campaign, it became abundantly clear that the urban legend may be closing the gap on these two legends. Perhaps, it is time for the two to join forces for one last ride. There have already been some whispers of his ensuing departure in Phoenix.

If the Lakers decide D’Angelo Russell is not the solution at point, do they ship him out in a sign and trade to be with his homie Devin Booker in exchange for a year (maybe two) of the banana boat buddies? There have been worse ideas in the world, especially for a PG-needy team.

Paul may not be coming off his best season, and there is no telling when Father Time will officially rob him of what remains of his basketball skills. The Lakers need to strike while the iron is hot.
