3. Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving is obviously the biggest name on this list and to some fans, this might represent the best option for the Lake Show. After all, Kyrie and LeBron won a championship together in Cleveland and there is no denying that Kyrie is still extremely talented.

However, everything that has happened around Kyrie since he left the Cavaliers should be a warning sign for the Lake Show to avoid this disaster. Every team that Irving has played for has been a disappointment and at some point, we have to look at the common denominator.

Los Angeles actually has the means to bring in Irving if the team so pleases. The team would have to let D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba walk but it is plausible. Irving wouldn’t get the absolute max but he could still get a hefty payday from the Lake Show.

As bad as it would be, it should at least be considered somewhat of a possibility. LeBron has a lot of pull in this organization and was the one behind the initial Russell Westbrook trade. Hopefully, Rob Pelinka learned from that disaster, but you can never be too sure.

Irving is a big name, sure, but that does not mean that he would be a good addition to the Lakers. Unfortunately, we cannot rule it out.
