5 LeBron James trades that would actually make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers: Miami Heat

From the perspective of Los Angeles Lakers fans, none of the trades on this list will be good enough, which makes sense, because James is one of the best players in the world. But in terms of landing spot and return, this Miami Heat trade isn’t too bad.

The Lakers would get back Tyler Herro as the centerpiece of the deal, forming a new duo of Herro and Anthony Davis. Giving Herro the freedom to work could finally see him develop into the All-Star player he’s shown the potential to be.

Caleb Martin has enjoyed a breakout playoff run and could turn into an even better player if given more responsibilities, making him a solid pickup for the Lakers.

Duncan Robinson hasfinally re-broken out of his shell this postseason, making him a great three-point threat for the Lakers to employ at the wing position.

Lastly, Nikola Jovic is a super young player with some potential, and the Lakers would also add some draft picks in the deal.

For the Heat, this deal would see them attempt to capitalize on their current title run, adding James to a core of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

James would make his return to South Beach and attempt to add one final ring to his treasure trove before he eventually retires (or plays alongside Bronny James.)

Potential starting lineups:

Lakers: Austin Reaves, Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, Rui Hachimura, Anthony Davis

Heat: Gabe Vincent, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Bam Adebayo
