The dream starting 5 for the Lakers 5 years from now

Lakers’ dream SG in 2028: Devin Booker
Devin Booker so happens to be a free agent during the 2028 offseason. Not only that but the Lakers are going to have a lot of cap space that opens up as the 2027-28 season will be the last year that Anthony Davis is under contract.
Booker’s contract runs through the 2027-28 season and while he has been in the league for quite a few years, he is still relatively young in the grand scheme of the league. Booker will be 31 years old, turning 32 that October. He will still warrant a max deal as he will still be in his prime.
By then, the Phoenix Suns will likely have run their course. Phoenix is not a big market team so it cannot continue to commit so many resources to building a superteam. Kevin Durant will be retired, Bradley Beal will likely be gone and it will probably be time for Booker to join a team with a better chance of contending.
There are also some loose ties that exist with the Lakers that could entice Booker to come to LA. Booker had a great relationship with the late, great, Kobe Bryant. Wanting to honor his friend and mentor, Booker may look to don the purple and gold and win several championships.
There is also another very important aspect to this that will be disclosed as we continue the dream starting five; Los Angeles will already have another top-five player in the league on the roster to entice Booker to come to LA. But before then, there is a familiar face at the small forward position.
