3. Cam Reddish

Reddish is a former top-ten pick who excites fans. The 6’8 wing is athletic and has the look of an NBA player. Multiple teams were excited about his potential coming out of Duke in 2019, but the first four years have not gone as planned.

The Lakers will regret his two-year $4.6 million deal because of his production. He played 30 total minutes in the first two games combined. Reddish scored 11 points with five rebounds and one block, but the team was outscored by five when he was on the floor.

He is a career 32.3 percent 3-point shooter and his 44.6 percent from the field last season was a career-high. Reddish is never afraid to shoot, but those rarely fall.

The 24-year-old still has time to improve, but the excitement in signing Cam Reddish is still all about the potential. He finishes well inside but struggles to iron out his jumper. Finding 6’8 wings is not easy and creates some of the buzz, but the Los Angeles Lakers will quickly find out that he is not their answer on the wing.

Expect the front office to explore his trade market before the deadline and do not be surprised to see them add a wing to replace him.
