The Los Angeles Lakers are the most prestigious franchise in the NBA. No team in the sport has as much history as the Lakers both in the sport itself as well as the franchise's impact on popular culture.

To be associated with the Lakers is a very special thing. YouTuber/WWE superstar Logan Paul and his business partner, fellow YouTuber/influencer boxer KSI, know this to be fact. That is why the duo struck an endorsement for their company, PRIME, to be the official sports drink of the Lakers, which was announced on Tuesday via social media.

PRIME has taken the sports drink market by storm over the last two years with Paul and KSI leading the way. What was once an upstart influencer business has turned into a full-scale drink company, with PRIME appearing in just about every retailer and gas station that you can imagine. The company grew so large that it reportedly surpassed $1.2 billion in total sales in 2022 alone.

Lakers become latest iconic sports brand to strike a partnership with PRIME

While the Los Angeles Lakers are the first basketball team that Logan Paul and KSI have attached themselves to, they certainly are not the first big-name sports franchise. Premier soccer clubs such as Bayern Munich, Arsenal, FC Barcelon and Borrussia Dortmund have all struck deals with PRIME.

Here in the states, PRIME has been the official sports drink partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers dating back to last season, even releasing a Dodgers-specific PRIME bottle in 2023 to the Los Angeles market.

PRIME has also struck a relationship with both the UFC and WWE. UFC has been in business with PRIME for over a year while Paul just announced that the sports drink will be the first center-ring advertisement in WWE history, starting at WrestleMania 40 in April.

Marquee athletes have also struck a deal to be PRIME athletes as well. The likes of Patrick Mahomes, Erling Haaland, Israeal Adesanya, and several others PRIME athletes.

This is just the start of the relationship between the Lakers and PRIME, and any Lakers fans under the age of 18 are probably thrilled about this partnership. Parents: keep an eye out for any Lakers-specific bottles in the near future, as they will be highly sought after and will fly off the shelf.
