3. Luka Doncic

Stars often come to Los Angeles to chase a championship. Luka wants to win at everything. His competitive drive is one of the many things that makes him one of the best players in the world. Doncic is committed to winning in Dallas, but what if the Mavericks cannot put a title contender around him? They missed the playoffs entirely last season and are no-lock to be in title contention this year.

Luka has a player option in 2026, which could be just about when LeBron James is hanging up his sneakers. Could Doncic leave for the bright lights of LA to take over the Lakers? The 24-year-old superstar has a close relationship with King James. LeBron even tried to recruit him to join his shoe brand a few years back before Doncic went with Jordan.

Luka will be 27 years old when he hits free agency. Right in the middle of his prime. If things are not looking up in Dallas, he could be searching for a new home. The Los Angeles Lakers are always eager to be in title contention, and they would love to have the four-time first-team All-NBA selection as their alpha moving forward.

Doncic has proven he will take his game to another level in the playoffs. He just needs the right supporting cast around him to win it all. That could happen if he is wearing the purple and gold in a few years.
