Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are exactly the kind of team that should be looking to use a pick on Bronny James solely so they could try and lure LeBron to the team. Minnesota is undoubtedly talented enough to win a championship and adding LeBron, even in his older age, could be the difference.
Minnesota has its own pick in the first round as well as the Memphis Grizzlies' second-round pick. As it stands right now, that gives the T-Wolves two picks in the 29-36. One of them could be used on a project or an older rotation player while the other could theoretically be used on Bronny.
Bronny probably wouldn't actually play much but he could win a title alongside his dad in his first season. From a basketball sense, LeBron fits so nicely on this Timberwolves team and they would instantly become title favorites, even if LeBron enters a new stage where he is essentially getting sixth-man minutes.
Imagine a closing lineup consisting of Anthony Edwards, LeBron, Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. Plug in an off-ball shooter in the other guard spot and it is hard to see how that team could be beaten in a seven-game series.
The biggest hang-up for this when it comes to LeBron is cap space. LeBron would have to take a significant pay cut to make this happen. That being said, it still makes a lot of sense for the T-Wolves to use one of those two picks to at least start the conversation by drafting Bronny.
