Kurt Rambis in Talks with 76ers

According to NBA.com, Lakers Assistant Coach Kurt Rambis is one of the candidates that the 76ers are interviewing for the recently vacated head coaching position.  Rambis has previously filled in as interim head coach of the Lakers, going 24-13 during a stint in the 1998-99 season.

Incidentally, one of my favorite quotes is from Kurt Rambis: “It’s just a game.  Never forget what’s important.”  Ironically, Kobe Bryant has been quoted as saying  “If you told Kurt to run through a brick wall to win a basketball game, he would do it.”

Kurt Rambis is a huge asset to the Laker organization.  I wish the best for him, but I hope we never have to see him on the opposing bench.
