Shannon Brown, Sasha Vujacic Have Famous Fiancées

There is a certain level of celebrity that comes with being a Laker. There is also another level of visibility that is inherent with being a World Champion Los Angeles Laker. Over the years, Laker wives have become almost as well known as their on-court counterparts. Cookie, Vanessa Williams, Vanessa Bryant and the most recent addition, Khloe, will attest to the marrying power achieved by entering into the Purple and Gold family.

Not to be left out of this famous fray, both Sasha Vujacic and Shannon Brown announced themselves as the latest to join the Laker celebrity wives club this week.

Brown boasts of R&B singer Moncia as his wife-to-be. Meanwhile Sasha will be taking the plunge with tennis star Maria Sharapova.

Congrats, fellas!

As this married man can attest to, there are few things better than sharing your passion for the Lakers with your soul mate. Marriage, much like learning the triangle, is an adjustment that is challenging at first but becomes a part of you that eventually can lead to success beyond your wildest dreams.

Ok, enough with this diatribe on the fruits of marriage. I’m sure we’ll have more than our fare share of cut away shots at Staples come June. While Shannon seems destined to spend a few more years in Los Angeles, I’d suggest that for the time being Sasha and Maria find a nice place to rent Downtown.
