Sam Amick of USA Today has reported that Metta World Peace intends to return Tuesday for the Lakers evening contest with the Hornets.

Should he do so, he will return an astonishing four weeks ahead of schedule after suffering a torn meniscus that required surgery on March 28th – an injury which was given a six week timetable for recovery.

"“I call him Logan now – he’s Wolverine,” Bryant said. “I’m not very surprised, he takes care of himself. He eats all the right stuff. Still, it’s extremely impressive.”"

World Peace, 33, is still going strong – averaging his highest point total since he left the Rockets in 08-09′ in over 30 minutes per game.

However, his defense and chemistry with Bryant will be the far more welcome addition.

"“Tomorrow morning he’ll go through some more tests, and if he passes he’ll play,” D’Antoni said."

D’Antoni is currently putting the chances of World Peace’s return around 80-90 percent.
